He said: "We really appreciated the great support we had at the Cardiff Blues game at the weekend, you could hear Scarlets singing from start to finish and we applaud the fans who made the effort to travel away and show what this region is all about.

"I was at the game and there is no doubt that the constant singing and cheering by our fans made a massive difference to the atmosphere inside the stadium and helped to lift our team - particularly in the second half.

"A big thank you to everyone that was there and we look forward to another great match atmosphere at the hands of our vocal Scarlets supporters at the Heineken Cup opener at Parc y Scarlets in a couple of weeks time."
