If your child is between the ages of 5 and 7 and can speak Welsh they have a fantastic opportunity to be Scarlets mascot and appear in their own TV programme on S4C. We are running a competition which gives one person the opportunity to be our match day mascot when the Scarlets play the Blues, at Parc y Scarlets, on Friday 16th April 2010.
The competition is being run in conjunction with the S4C and production company Ceidiog Creations. The aim of the programme is to show the preparations for ‘One Big Day in My Life’. The TV crew will follow the mascot in the weeks leading up to the game, visiting their school speaking to friends and family as he/she prepares for the BIG DAY!
The mascot must be able to speak Welsh and friends and family must also be able to converse in the medium of Welsh.
Ceidiog Creations we will need to meet with any of the children who are interested beforehand. The final choice of mascot will be chosen by S4C and the Scarlets The TV crew would like to start filming as soon as the mascot is chosen.
If this appeals to your child they need to write in no more than 50 words why they would like to be mascot and be the star of their own television programme!
You will then need to email that information to nerys@scarlets.co.uk with the following details by Monday 18th January.
We will need: Child’s name, Address, DOB and contact number and a picture of your child.
