On the day that Parc y Scarlets hosted its first Ladies Day earlier in the year, Stuart Cremin became the first gentleman to propose marriage to his partner at the stadium.
Scarlets
Chairman of the Scarlets, Huw Evans presented each living captain with an original quartered Scarlets jersey, individually named and numbered.
Famous names to attend the final game included: Delme Thomas, Phil Bennett, Derek Quinnell, Phil May, Ieuan Evans, Robin McBryde and Scott Quinnell – to name a but few.
At half-time the Scarlets funding directors presented commemorative gifts to the 12 past and present Chairmen and Presidents of Llanelli in recognition of their service to the region.
One of Wales' foremost singer songwriters, Caryl Parry-Jones performed at half-time singing her rousing ‘West is Best’ anthem which was written for Ray Gravell and performed at his funeral at Stradey Park.
The evening celebrated the great rugby moments recognising the number of matches, tries, wins, touring wins, players and attendances at Stradey Park throughout its remarkable history.
At full time was the last-ever team photo in the middle of the field with all the players plus the 12 Presidents and Chairmen in original quartered shirts.
The finale included rousing choral music from two male voice choirs parading from either end of the field singing to the Acapella version of Sospan Fach followed by the National Anthem. A spectacular firework display provided a spectacular final close.
