The IRB Dubai Sevens 2009 was the first major international tournament to be held following the IOC’s momentous decision to include the sport of Rugby Sevens in the Olympic programme.

The tournament celebrated its 40th year this year.

Lee, an Academy member from Ammanford, had a great season playing on the school boy circuit and his first year in Coleg Sir Gâr and has been elevated to the senior squad in his first year of senior rugby. 

Lee had limited opportunities in the early rounds of the competition but has scored tries in most games he has played in. Once he was acclimatized into the environment of senior rugby he found his feet and has since played exceptionally well.
