RAF
As well as job satisfaction and excellent training, there are many other benefits to an RAF career. For starters there´s the huge range of sports and adventurous training opportunities available, not to mention expeditions like snowboarding in the Alps or kayaking in the Canadian Rockies. Socialising is a big part of RAF life and great way to get to know other people on your base.
If you're a fan of aviation action and adventure, love sports and getting to know people, then you're in the right place! Every year nearly 60,000 air cadets and volunteer staff take part in exciting events all over the country, and there are 24 Squadrons in Number 3 Welsh Wing where you can get involved. Find out about what the air cadets have to offer from flying to gliding, shooting, adventure training and gaining a Duke of Edinburgh Award.
Army
In the Army, your workmates become your best mates. Living, travelling and working together as a team, sometimes in difficult situations, creates a bond unlike anything you'd find in a civilian workplace. One of the most exciting things about Army life is the travel. It's not just about close combat operations in Afghanistan - the Army also helps with humanitarian missions, assisting local communities all over the world. Whether it's jungle warfare training in Belize or exercises in Canada, you'll be paid to see parts of the world you never thought you could.
Navy
Life in the Royal Navy could be working within our Surface Fleet, Submarine Service or Fleet Air Arm, alongside our allies in conflicts around the world or protecting Britain's ports, fishing grounds and merchant ships and help tackle international smuggling, terrorism and piracy. We are also increasingly becoming involved in humanitarian and relief missions, where our skills, discipline and resourcefulness make a real difference to people's Lives.
