With the sun beaming down on Parc y Scarlets on a clear autumnal day it was RGC1404 who got first points on the board with a long range penalty after just two minutes of play.
The Scarlets bounced back and ensured that every penalty was taken quickly in what was a high tempo game.
Two tries came in the opening 15 minutes for Jack Evans and Steffan Davies before Billy McBryde and Evans added another two before half time.
RGC1404 secured another penalty after the first quarter but headed in to the changing rooms trailing 24-6.
Scarlets' superior fitness and skills level caused problems for RGC1404 as the forward and backs combined well and secured another five tries in the second half. Tries were scored by Stephen Leonard, Shaun Evans, Shaun Pearce, Dan Gealy and a second for Billy McBryde. Fullback Jack Evans scored 22 points for the Scarlets on his first regional start.
