


The ball was worked from one side of the field to the other and finally reaching the fullback Dan Evans at the far corner who secured early points on the board for the home side.
The Scots pulled back three points with the first of Dan Parks' kicks at goal.
Glasgow's opening try came moments later as the centre Van der Merwe made use of a loose ball from the lineout and crossed under the posts. There was discontent among the Scarlets supporters who thought that there had been crossing amongst the Glasgow players but that was not picked up by the referee James Jones.
British Lions and Scarlets outside half Stephen Jones edged three points closer to breaking the record for Llanelli and Scarlets' all time highest points scorer as he kicked over a penalty with ease. Another four points this evening will take him past Andy Hill's existing record of 2596.
Once again, Glasgow boosted their score as flanker Calum Forrester broke the Scarlets' defensive lineand scored the visitor's second try under the posts. The conversion was once again successfully kicked by Parks.
In a frantic last ten minutes of the first half, the tensions were running high as both teams looked desperate to secure points and all thirty players played with real intent.
It was the Scarlets who reacted positively with a charge down field deep into Glasgow's territory with Stephen Jones securing that the Scarlets came away with three points.
The Scarlets persisted to the death and found themselves with a great attacking line deep within Glasgow's half and a great passage of play was completed with a try in the corner by winger Lee Williams after he saw space in front of him.

The Scarlets made an early replacement, bringing on Andy Fenby for Lee Williams who went off with an injury to his cheekbone.
A much-needed boost came as Stephen Jones made his way towards the Glasgow try line and crossed for a record breaking try and conversion to a huge applause and standing ovation by the home crowd as he re-wrote the history books to become the highest ever points scorer for Llanelli and Scarlets.
The score was drawn level at 23 points each as Dan Parks kicked his third penalty of the evening but this was closely followed by another penalty by record breaker Stephen Jones!
With only three points separating them, and so much riding on a victory for both teams, there was a massive determination to gather the ball and run attacking lines across the park.
Glasgow were penalised deep in their own half for being off-side and Jones took another three points once again from the visit.
With only twenty minutes remaining on the clock Glasgow scored an easy try as the centre, Hefin O'Hare, danced his way around Scarlets defenders to score without much effort. Parks added a conversion to take the lead for Glasgow once again.

As the minutes ticked away Glasgow stepped up a gear, knowing that they needed to take a victory away from Parc y Scarlets before they play in the Magners League Play-offs. Fullback Bernardo Stortoni crossed the line for another try and Glasgow moved ahead by eight points.
The home side was not prepared to give up and Jones secured another three points for the Scarlets.
Glasgow were penalised once again with their second yellow card of the evening and handed Stephen Jones a golden opportunity to go for goal and claw back the points difference as the game headed into the dying minutes.

It was a hard fought game that saw the Scarlets show true passion and pride to finish the season with a strong performance and a losing bonus point.
