After securing a comfortable 45-20 victory over current European champions Leinster last weekend the Scarlets were under no illusion that they needed to secure another strong performance this weekend in order to make last weekend's victory count.

The visitor's looked to open their points tally early as outside half Rhys Priestland stepped up for a penalty after just two minutes of play but his kick went wide of the uprights. Glasgow kicked back a few minutes putting them into the lead.

The first quarter saw homeside Glasgow take control of the game as they headed deep into Scarlets territory.
Jackson stepped up for a second penalty but the ball went wide of the uprights keeping the score at 3-0 to the homeside.

Aaron Shingler settled the nerves for the Scarlets as he touched down after some safe and patient ball-in-hand work by his fellow teammates.

After a couple of missed penalties apiece it was the Scarlets who secured their second score with North Walian winger Andy fenby controlling the ball with his feet after a neat kicked and chase by Wales and Scarlets centre Jonathan Davies.

Despite a last minute penalty by Glasgow it was the Scarlets who took the winning momentum into the changing rooms for the second half with a four point lead over their counterparts.

The opening quarter of the second half was the story of the missed penalties as Priestland missed a brace and Glasgow failed to add another three points to their tally.

With 57 minutes on the clock Scarlets showed great composure to work the ball through the hands, put pressure on the home side and got the ball cleanly out to wing sensation George North to cross in the corner.

With the Scarlets controlling the play in the final quarter and ensuring they were playing in the right areas using Priestland's directional play the Scarlets secured a 13-18 victory on Glasgow's most historic evening in present times.

Scarlets fullback Liam Williams was named RaboDirect Man of the Match for the second time this season after a strong a steady display.
