Muggleton, a rugby league legend in Australia, played for the Eels for just short of a decade from 1980 - 1989. During his time there, the club was highly successful winning four premierships and qualifying for five Grand Finals within six successive seasons. The early eighties are renowned as a golden era for the club and yielded their only four premierships.
The Scarlets defence coach is still in close contact with the Aussie club and its new board of directors many of whom he played with in the eighties, including former dual code international legend Ray Price.
Muggleton said this was going to be a momentous weekend for the blue and gold army back in Australia.
"I'll be sending all the guys texts tomorrow wishing them good luck it's going to be a massive and memorable occasion for them - the Grand Final is a brilliant event and they'll get about 80,000 there to watch.
"The last Grand Final the Eels won was in 1986, and they haven't reached a final since 2000, so the supporters have a lot to look forward to and it's time they were rewarded for their loyalty.
"Like our Scarlets fans, they are a really passionate bunch of supporters and it's going to be a tight game - I suppose the Eels start as underdogs but they have progressed brilliantly this season.
"I'll be trying to find the game online somewhere on Sunday and just hope that I've got two reasons to be cheerful this weekend!"
