Dan Thomas is a flanker who spent the 2011-12 season playing for Llanelli RFC, making 26 appearances for his club over the season and scoring 2 tries, including one against Pontypool to help Llanelli qualify for the end of season playoffs.

Thomas has climbed the ranks with the Scarlets after joining at under-16 level and earned a place in the Scarlets Academy.

Thomas was also a member of the Wales under-20 team during the 2012 Six Nations Championship, putting in an outstanding performace against Scotland at Eirias Park in Colwyn Bay. He was also part of the Under-20 squad that finished 3rd at the 2012 World junior Championships in South Africa.
